Just attach your favorite dental floss to the "eye" of the Threader and guide the plastic needle under and around the difficult areas. You can use any sort of floss you like.
BridgeAid is the classic tool used to help people floss their braces. It is a plastic "needle" (not sharp) to thread your floss underneath your arch wire. I have found that it's best to just tie some floss to the needle; that way it doesn't slip out when you're in the middle of flossing.
You can find small quantities of floss threaders in local drugstores, but we carry a convenient bottle of 150 threaders -- enough to last you 3 months or more.
