How To Use the FlossFish Tool for Braces
1. Pull off a small length of floss (about 6 to 10 inches).
2. Insert one end of the floss through the hole at the tip of the FlossFish and pull it through a few inches.
3. Using the FlossFish takes two hands. Wrap one end of the floss around the curve in the FlossFish. Wrap the other end around your index finger on your other hand, as shown in the drawing. Pull the slack in the floss tight with your finger. You are now ready to start flossing!
4. One hand is holding the FlossFish and the other hand has floss wrapped around one finger. All slack is pulled tight. Now...guide the head of the FlossFish under the arch wire between your brackets. Angle the floss-wrapped finger near your mouth. With your floss-wrapped finger, you can now get the floss between your teeth and under the gum line. To floss your teeth, move the floss and the FlossFish head up and down to floss your teeth as you normally would. Repeat this process for each tooth.
