Item Description

Thornton Floss has become ProxySoft Floss! Same company, same products -- just a new name and a new look for the packaging. Made by the company that invented SuperFloss! ProxySoft (Thornton) 3-in-1 Floss has a stiff plastic end, followed by a soft but abrasive filament, and a length of regular floss. This floss is great for people with wide gaps between their teeth.

Use the built-in plastic threader to get under braces and bridgework, use the filament to help dislodge food and massage gums, and use the floss for regular flossing. Recommended for teeth with gaps or large spaces. Please note that if your teeth have tight spaces, this floss may be too thick. In that case, we recommend SturdyFloss or Glide Threader Floss instead.

Each package contains 100 strands. Please note that the strands are not individually wrapped.

FAQ

  • Each box contains 100 strands of 3-in-1 Floss. The strands are not individually wrapped; they are loose in the box.

  • Great for periodontal cleaning, braces, or bridgwork.

  • Each strand of floss has a plastic threader tip, a length of floss, and a thick spongy element.

  • Recommended for people with large gaps between their teeth. Not recommended for people with tight contacts between teeth.

Thornton Floss has become ProxySoft Floss! It's exactly the same company and exactly the same products -- just a new name and a new look for the packaging

3-in-1 Floss is great for people who have large spaces between their teeth. This floss is very thick, with a thick spongy element in the middle. It will do a fantastic job of dislodging plaque and bacteria between the teeth. It has a thin plastic threader tip for getting under brackets and around bridgework.

I do NOT recommend this product for anyone whose main problem is tight spaces between their teeth -- it will be too thick to get between the tight contacts. If your teeth are very tight, instead I would recommend SturdyFloss or Oral-B Glide Threader Floss. Or use the FlossFish tool with any floss of your choice.

You may not have heard of Thornton Floss, but it has been around for years. In fact, Thornton first invented SuperFloss!

pleasantly surprised with product.
I noticed that my proxySoft floss was not as thick as the former Thornton floss...but it certainly did the job.
ProsThe actual thinness of the product made it easier to clean under my implant denture (the area between the denture and gum line) and it's easier on my fingers too.
ConsThere weren't any.

OK But could be better - wish it was a little thicker
I use 3 in 1 primarily for bridge work ( following horse-back accident) I like the easy threading to clean in those areas. the floss is OK But could be better - wish it was a little thicker
ProsGreat for bridge dental work Easy threading between bridge teeth
Cons thin for flossing - easily tears

Not satisfied
It falls apart and then breaks in the thin section before the thick section can be threaded between your teeth.
ConsNot waxed, strands separate and then break

My go-to Floss
I have been using Thronton floss for years. It is my "go-to" floss. I love the spongey part because it really helps keep my gums healthy. It's exactly the same now that it is renamed Proxysoft.
